Students from Kingsbury Green Academy took to the stage for a sell-out dance show bringing together schools from across the Ascend Learning Trust.
The event, held on Tuesday 28th April, saw pupils perform a range of routines in front of a packed audience in the school’s main hall.

Dancers from several local primary schools also took part, including Cherhill C of E Primary, Marden Vale CE Academy, Priestly Primary, Fynamore Primary and Holy Trinity Church of England Academy.

Performances featured music from well-known shows including The Greatest Showman and Hamilton, as well as a country and line-dancing routine.
Alice Mitchell, Head of Expressive Arts at the school, said: “It was such a great evening, showcasing the best dancing talents across the schools in our trust. Everyone worked so hard in the weeks before the event, planning their choreography, rehearsing and perfecting their routines.”

Headteacher Nicola Bull added: “It was also so lovely to welcome several visiting primary schools from our area who performed so well. It’s important for us to work together with local schools to share ideas and showcase collectively our pupils’ talents and abilities.”

She said the sell-out audience was “testament to the quality of the dances and students’ professionalism”.
Proceeds from the show will go to Springboard, a special needs school in Chippenham.

Jane Coley, CEO of Ascend Learning Trust, said the event reflected the trust’s focus on inclusivity and belonging, describing it as a “sparkly and joyous show” and thanking those who attended for their support.
