People are being given another opportunity to become part-owners of one of Wiltshire's best-known village pubs as a second community share offer opens to help bring The Ivy Inn in Heddington back to life.
The Friends of the Ivy campaign has already raised more than £430,000, enabling the community to buy the Grade II-listed pub after it closed in 2024.
The latest share offer aims to raise additional funding to help restore the building and prepare it to reopen as a community-run pub, café and village hub.
In a post announcing the new share offer, Friends of the Ivy said: "Imagine being able to say 'I helped bring The Ivy back to life.'
"Hundreds of local people as well as those from further away have already invested. Every new shareholder brings us one step closer to completing the restoration and reopening The Ivy as a thriving community pub for everyone to enjoy."
The group says it hopes the pub will become much more than a traditional inn, providing space for community groups, cafés, events and activities while continuing to serve food and drink.
Friends of the Ivy was formed after Wadworth put the pub up for sale in 2024. Following a successful first share offer, the community completed the purchase earlier this year.
The share offer is open to anyone who lives nearby, has fond memories of the pub or simply believes village pubs deserve a future.
Further information about the share offer is available via the Friends of the Ivy website.
