The family of 19-year-old Rosa Taylor, who tragically died in a road traffic collision on the A4 Bath Road in Corsham last Thursday, 24th July, have released a touching tribute celebrating her vibrant life.

Rosa, from Upholland, Lancashire, was on her way to a theatre performance in Corsham when the vehicle she was travelling in collided with a lorry at approximately 1.30pm at the junction with the B3109. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The female driver and a male passenger in the car sustained serious injuries and remain hospitalised. The HGV driver was uninjured.

Wiltshire Police continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision, urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.

In a moving statement, Rosa's father, Gareth Taylor, said: "Anyone who knew Rosa would agree that she was the most beautiful person inside and out,

"She was the very definition of a spirit that shines brightly and dies young, loved by anyone who met her. She was at once the most talented, most beautiful, and most loving soul I’ve ever known."

A dedicated performer from a young age, Rosa was deeply involved in theatre, playing lead roles at the Artz Centre in Skelmersdale before attending the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) Sixth Form College to study Musical Theatre. She had recently secured a place at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London and was scheduled to begin her studies in September.

Beyond her academic pursuits, Rosa graced the stage with the Liverpool Empire Youth Theatre and took on the lead role in the Beggars Belief Collective production of Scrumptios! in July 2025.

She was en route to a performance at Corsham Library when the accident occurred. In addition to her acting roles, Rosa worked as a professional entertainer with Pick 'n' Mix Parties in Liverpool, captivating children by portraying beloved characters like Ariana Grande, Aladdin’s Jasmine, and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She also worked at Briar’s Hall Hotel in Ormskirk.

Rosa will be lovingly remembered as “a shining star,” “the greatest friend anyone could have asked for,” and the “most naturally gifted performer you had ever seen.”
