A major police investigation that began in Chippenham has led to five arrests across the country and the safeguarding of seven women, after concerns were raised locally about possible human trafficking at two premises in the town.
Two homes in Chippenham have been placed under closure orders to protect vulnerable occupants from exploitation.
Wiltshire Council has confirmed that rescheduled coring works on The Strand in Calne will take place tonight (Wednesday 15 October) and tomorrow night (Thursday 16 October) between 7pm and 6am.
