The long-running works around Beversbrook are moving into another phase, with traffic management changing sides and more work expected to take place around Stanier Road over the coming weeks.

The scheme, which has already caused months of disruption around Beversbrook, is moving into another construction phase with traffic management changing sides and work becoming more concentrated on different sections of the route.

The £6.9 million improvement project is designed to deliver long-term safety improvements along the road rather than short-term repairs.

Current work remains focused around the Beversbrook Sports Facility entrance, where drainage, kerbing and surfacing work has been taking place.

Over the coming weeks, work is expected to move further towards Stanier Road with crews preparing for more drainage work, traffic signal infrastructure and changes around existing traffic islands.

Drivers may notice traffic management layouts changing as existing arrangements are removed and replaced during the transition between phases.

Further improvements linked to wider work towards Chippenham are also expected later this year.

The latest update was shared by councillor Sam Pearce-Kearney following discussions around the ongoing project.
