Wiltshire residents are being asked to share their views on proposed changes to waste and recycling services, including plans for three-weekly bin collections.
Wiltshire Council has launched a survey to gather feedback on current household waste habits, recycling centre use and potential future changes to services.
The survey, which opened on Friday 20th March, will run until Friday 17th April.
Proposals include moving to three-weekly general waste collections, alongside the introduction of weekly food waste collections from 2027 and expanded recycling options.
The council says the changes are aimed at increasing recycling rates, reducing landfill waste and cutting carbon emissions.
Data shows that around 35% of material currently placed in household waste bins could be recycled, while food waste and plastic wrapping make up more than 45% of residual waste.
Residents are also being asked for their views on Household Recycling Centres, including a potential booking system to reduce queues and waiting times.
Cllr Paul Sample, Cabinet Member for Environment, Climate and Waste, said the feedback would help shape future services.
“We are aiming to increase recycling rates in Wiltshire from 40% to well over 60%,” he said. “This survey is an important opportunity for residents to tell us what works for them and what support they will need.”
The survey is open to all residents and takes around ten minutes to complete and will remain open until 5pm on Friday 17 April 2026.
Residents can take part online.
