CALNE police have released an image of someone they'd like to speak to in connection with the burglary that took place at Marden Community Hub earlier this month.

On 14th November just before midnight, the doors to the centre were smashed in, cameras turned off and a till containing an estimated £200 was taken.

Marden Community Hub on Church Street offer hot meals, coffee and company, a community fridge and larder, access to computers and internet and a place to practice music and enjoy arts and crafts. When volunteers heard the news of the break-in they were devastated.

Carol Lavery told us: "How can anyone do this to a place that looks after the vulnerable and lonely? It's despicable. However, I'm positive we will not be beaten, we will continue somehow."

PCSO Mark Cook said: "We would like to speak with this person in connection with a burglary on 14/11/2024 at 23:56hrs in Church Street in Calne.
